Wooden Serving Board - Small

This small serving board is hand-carved from Albizia hardwood by Fair Trade-certified artisans in Bangladesh. Albizia is a fast-growing hardwood, which is part of why it's used here — though it isn't a certified-forestry wood, so that's worth knowing. No chemical polish or finish is applied; the surface is left as-carved. Each board measures approximately 8.75" x 6" x 0.75" with a 3" handle, and grain, knots, and tone will vary piece to piece.

At end of life, an untreated hardwood board can be composted in a home or municipal pile, or disposed of with yard waste — check your local guidelines. Packaging details are not disclosed by the vendor. To extend its life, oil the board periodically with food-safe mineral oil; untreated wood will dry and crack with frequent washing.
