Accessibility statement.

Poplar&Main targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA and WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance across every page. Accessibility is treated as a release-blocking criterion, not a finishing touch.

What we've built

  • Persistent accessibility bar. Available on every page (toggle in the page corner). Provides text size, contrast, motion, font family (including OpenDyslexic), link underlining, and a reading guide.
  • Skip links. Skip to main content, skip to navigation, skip to footer — visible on focus.
  • Keyboard navigability. Every interactive element is reachable and operable from the keyboard. Focus indicators are high-contrast and never relegated to outline-only.
  • Reduced motion. Respects prefers-reduced-motion by default, with a manual override in the accessibility bar.
  • Color contrast. All text meets WCAG AA contrast thresholds at minimum; high-contrast mode raises body text to AAA.
  • Form labels. Every input has a programmatically associated label or accessible name. Required fields are announced to assistive tech.
  • WCAG 2.2 specific: Focus is never obscured (2.4.11), drag operations have alternative methods (2.5.7), targets are at least 24×24 CSS pixels (2.5.8), and we avoid requiring redundant entry of previously provided data (3.3.7).

Known limits

  • Product photography is supplied by manufacturers and may not always have ideal alt text. We're auditing and rewriting alt text as part of an ongoing project.
  • Embedded video, where present, has captions but does not yet have audio descriptions. We're prioritizing this for content where visual information is meaningful.

Reporting a barrier

If you encounter a page or feature that doesn't meet your needs, please contact us with the page URL, your browser and assistive technology, and a description of what didn't work. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and resolve them within ten.
