Surya Woven Palm Fiber Placemat - Brown (Set of 2)

These round placemats are handwoven from palm fiber by Fair Trade–certified artisans in Bangladesh. Each one measures approximately 15 inches in diameter, and because they are made by hand, minor variation in color and weave is expected — that is the point. Palm fiber is a plant material; when you are done with these, they can be home-composted, though the timeline will depend on your pile's conditions.

A few honest notes: palm fiber is not waterproof, so wipe spills promptly with a damp cloth and let them dry flat. Prolonged sun exposure will fade the brown tone. Packaging details were not disclosed by the supplier, so we cannot speak to that part of the chain.
