Stoneware Jug | Dadasi 50 Oz - Green

Made by Gharyan Stoneware, this 50 oz jug is wheel-thrown and hand-glazed stoneware, fired in Gharyan, Libya. It holds water, wine, or a stem or two reasonably well. The glaze is tested free of cadmium and lead, and the piece is food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe — useful qualities in something you'll actually use daily.

Because each piece is made one at a time, minor fingerprints or firing-grid marks on the base are normal. Shipped in cardboard packaging; ask your local recycler whether they accept it curbside. When the jug eventually chips or breaks beyond use, fired stoneware cannot be composted or melted down at home — it goes to landfill, which is the honest trade-off with ceramic goods.
