Ramsay the raccoon is hand-knit from organic cotton yarn at a women's cooperative in Peru. The rattle insert is phthalate-free. Dyes are certified low-impact, though Finn + Emma does not publish a full dye chemistry disclosure — worth knowing if you have a child with sensitivities.

Packaged in a small cardboard box (check vendor site for current packaging specifics). At end of life, the cotton knit can be composted if uncoated and free of synthetic fill — the plastic rattle insert cannot and will go to landfill. A small toy with real craft behind it and one honest trade-off.
