Lemongrass Soap Bar

Zambeezi's lemongrass bar is made in Zambia from saponified sunflower oil, saponified palm kernel oil, organic beeswax, lemongrass essential oil, ground turmeric, and distilled water — a short ingredient list with nothing hidden. The beeswax and sunflower oil base produces a firm bar that lathers well; the lemongrass oil is locally sourced in Zambia, which shortens the supply chain for that ingredient. Note that palm kernel oil is present, a crop with a complicated land-use record, so that trade-off is worth knowing.

The bar arrives in minimal paper packaging. At end of life, the soap itself goes down the drain as wash-off product; any paper wrapper can go in curbside recycling where accepted. This is a straightforward bar soap — no synthetic fragrance, no undisclosed additives — but "empowers communities" language on the original listing lacks a verifiable program name, so we've left that aside.
