Returns

30-day return window from delivery. Unopened items in original condition and packaging are eligible for return.

Damaged, defective, or wrong items — free return and full refund. Email support@poplarandmain.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We'll choose: replacement (no return required for items under $30 — keep or discard) or full refund.

Preference returns (you changed your mind)

  • Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in their original packaging with any tags still attached. Items returned in a different state will be refused at inspection.
  • $9.95 return shipping label deducted from your refund.
  • 15% restocking fee on the item price.
  • Original shipping costs are not refunded, including on free-shipping orders.
  • One return per order. Group items in a single return shipment.

Not eligible for return

  • Opened personal-care items (anything that touches skin, hair, or food) — hygiene
  • Opened biodegradable or compostable items
  • Items marked Final Sale or discounted more than 20% off
  • Custom or personalized items
  • Gift cards

How to start a return

  1. Email returns@poplarandmain.com with your order number and which items you'd like to return.
  2. We respond within 1 business day with a prepaid return label and instructions.
  3. Pack items in their original packaging and drop the parcel at any USPS or UPS location.
  4. Once we receive and inspect the return, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

No exchanges

To keep things simple we don't offer direct exchanges. If you'd like a different size, color, or product, return the original for a refund and place a new order.

What happens to returned product

Every return shipped has a carbon cost, and an estimated 25% of returned items in US e-commerce end up in landfill because they can't be resold. We accept returns when you need them — and we ask you to think carefully before sending one back. Items that pass inspection go back into inventory. Items we can't resell are donated through Goodwill of Middle Tennessee or recycled through the manufacturer's take-back program. We do not landfill returned product.

International orders

Returns from outside the US are accepted on the same terms, but customers are responsible for return shipping (no prepaid label) and any customs duties on the return shipment.
