These round placemats are handwoven from palm fiber by Fair Trade–certified artisans in Bangladesh. Each is approximately 15 inches in diameter; because they are made by hand, minor variation in color and weave pattern is expected and inherent to the process. KORISSA designs and sources the product directly through its Fair Trade supply chain.Care is simple: wipe with a damp cloth, blot spills rather than rubbing, and dry thoroughly before storing. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight, which will fade the fiber over time. At end of life, palm fiber placemats can be home-composted, though rate of breakdown depends on your setup.
